About

Pocket Playbook started as a shared notes doc between three friends who kept texting each other tips for whatever mobile game we were stuck on. It grew into a small editorial project where we sit down with a game, play it for a while, and write up what we learned.

We pick titles across a lot of genres because our readers don't all like the same thing. Some come for puzzle strategies, others want RPG build advice or racing line tips. We try to keep the catalog varied on purpose.

Every guide is based on real playtime. If we didn't reach a certain point in a game, we say so instead of guessing. That honesty is the whole point of the site.

We're not tied to any studio or publisher. When something is clunky, we write that down too, because a guide that only says nice things isn't much use to anyone.

Nils Haugen — Nils is the lead editor and has been playing mobile games since the days of monochrome screens. He handles most of the strategy and RPG coverage and edits everything else before it goes live.
