Ember of Ardens

Ember of Ardens is a proper mobile RPG that doesn't dumb itself down. You build a party of four, each with their own skill trees, and battles play out in turns where positioning and turn order matter as much as raw stats. I spent way too long tweaking my lineup and loved every minute.

The story is told through short, well-written scenes between fights, so it never drags. Crafting is where it really opened up for me: gathering materials to forge gear that fit my playstyle made the grind feel purposeful instead of tedious.

On the downside, the early hours are a bit slow before you unlock the second party member. Push through it and the game becomes one of the richer options on mobile.
