Managing your lantern in Hollow Lantern
Hollow Lantern flips the usual instinct. Your first thought is to keep the light on to see, but the light also attracts trouble. Learning when to douse it is the real puzzle.
I got caught early by leaving the lantern lit in an open area. Now I only light it when I genuinely need to spot a path or solve something, then kill it before moving on.
Sound is your other sense here. The game gives audio cues for danger, so I found myself playing with headphones and moving through dark stretches by ear. It's tense in the best way.
Explore thoroughly but quietly. There are routes and small story details tucked into corners you'd miss if you rush. My second run showed me how much I'd walked past.
It's short, deliberate, and worth savoring. Don't blast through it; let the atmosphere do its work.
